Trades Math Online (TMO)
Online Course TMO is designed for construction trades apprenticeship
candidates and other individuals interested in improving their
trades-specific math skills. This is a “guided learning” course,
meaning the course will be mostly self-taught from the textbook,
but participants will also have access to AVTEC’s TMO
instructors for one-on-one tutoring. There are no live classes.
Participants may begin the course at their convenience and
proceed at their own pace. Participants need access to a
RELIABLE internet connection, a printer and a valid e-mail
address.

Moodle v1.9.5 Basics Live
Online Course
Are you ready to work hard and become a proficient, independent
Moodle user and course developer in a very short time?
If so, you should sign up for two-weeks of intense Moodle
Training.
No previous experience with Moodle required! This
training will assist participants in familiarizing themselves with the
online Moodle Learning Management system recently updated to take
advantage of v1.9.5 features. This course will provide participants an
opportunity to begin construction of a “sandbox” course and receive
feedback and advice from fellow students and other experienced
“Moodlers." Participants will learn the “best practices” of integrating
basic Moodle resources and activities into their online courses.
Participants will participate in two live online class each week via
Elluminate and view additional training videos, complete course creation
activities, participate in group discussions and complete other
assignments anytime during the week. Two additional graded professional
development credits are available for an additional fee. Course fills
quickly and is limited to first 20 paid participants so don’t delay!

Transition to MS Office 2007
Online Course Where is that file menu?? Want a couple of tips/tricks to help you
avoid the frustration of your transition? This short course will
concentrate on the transition between Office 2003 version to the Office
2007 version. MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint new features and
techniques will also be highlighted and practiced during the live
sessions.
Participants will participate in two live, online classes each week
via Elluminate and view additional training videos, participate in group
discussions and complete other assignments anytime during the week. One
credit is available for an additional fee.
