Cisco Networking Academy Program

    
The Cisco Networking Academy Program teaches students valuable Internet technology skills, including networking, web design, IT essentials, cabling, Java, UNIX, Wireless and Security. The Academy Curriculum covers a broad range of topics from basics on how to build a network to how to build a website and more complex IT concepts such as applying advanced troubleshooting tools. The program utilizes a comprehensive e-learning curriculum that provides students with the Internet technology skills essential in a global economy. The Networking Academy delivers web-based content, online assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on labs, instructor training and support, and preparation for industry standard certifications.

Created by industry and education professionals, the curriculum prepares students for the demands of the workplace and motivates them to continue their education and learning. Delivered globally in multiple languages, the Academy program uses assessment data to adapt and improve lessons, labs, and teacher training. The program recognizes multiple learning styles of students with Web-based, multimedia content; online assessment and evaluation throughout the course; hands-on labs; and instructor training and support. Upon completion, students have the opportunity to take an industry recognized certification exam.

In order to teach a curriculum offered through the Cisco Networking Academy Program, a school must first establish a support relationship with AVTEC, who technically supports the particular curriculum you are interested in offering.
