Business & Office Technology Instructor:

The Alaska Vocational Technical Center [AVTEC] in Seward is seeking a full time permanent Business & Office Technology Instructor as part of the Information Technology Department.

An instructor is required to provide classroom and practical hands-on instruction, evaluation, and supervision to students in the Business and Office Technology Program. Duties will include instruction in Microsoft Office Applications, typing, recordkeeping, basic accounting, office procedures and office machines. Additionally, the instructor should have experience in Medical Coding & Billing or creating publications for print and the Internet.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of five years recent work experience in Business Office or related operations, excellent motivational and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment, strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to effectively teach students with diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences.

Desired Qualifications: Previous teaching and or curriculum development experience. Medical billing and coding experience and certification or Web and print publication development experience.

Salary: $44.2K - $57.8K dependant upon education and experience.
