Licensed Practical Nurse Instructor:
The Alaska Vocational
Technical Center [AVTEC] in Anchorage is seeking a full time permanent LPN
instructor for its Allied
Health Department.
An instructor is required to
provide classroom and clinical hands-on instruction, evaluation, and supervision
to students in the LPN program. Duties will include instruction in Foundations
of Nursing, Nursing Care of Adults in Acute Care, Parent-child Nursing,
Treatments, Legal/Ethical Issues, Trends, Professional Issues, and Clinical
Concentrations.
Minimum
Qualifications: Minimum of a BS degree in Nursing, licensed
registered nurse in the State of Alaska, and at least five years recent
work experience as a registered nurse.
Desired
Qualifications: Excellent motivational and organizational
skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment,
strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to
effectively teach students with diverse cultural backgrounds and life
experiences. Previous teaching and/or curriculum development experience
is a plus.
Salary:
$55.8K-$63K dependant upon education and experience.
